Starting Monday, April 10, Ozark Regional Transit will be transitioning its Fixed Route 620 in rural Washington County to a Demand Response service. The last date of service will be April 7, 2017. Two Demand Response vehicles will assume the public transportation task going forward.
Working with the Washington County Quorum Court, and considering our common goal of increasing public transportation usage, a different model of public transit will be transitioned into place beginning Monday, April 10.
The Demand Response model is a pre-scheduled and enhanced service, providing more timely pick-ups and convenient drop-offs at a passenger's intended destination. Two D/R vehicles will be designated specifically for all of Washington County, all day, Monday through Friday.
Passengers are encouraged to call ORT's main office at (479)756-5901 and speak with Jason for ease of transition and for additional details.
