Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program
The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program at Ozark Regional Transit encourages and supports the participation of the companies owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals in transportation contracts.
The program is federally-funded through the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and administered by the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department (AHTD).
AHTD provides a central business directory for transportation-related minority and women-owned businesses, provide statewide certification to eligible businesses, and provide technical assistance and training on business development and government contracting.
To participate in federally-funded contracts under the DBE Program, firms must be certified with the AHTD.
