How to Ride Paratransit
To make a reservation
Call (479) 756-5901 or (800) 865-5901 ext. 2. Make your call between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm Monday through Friday. All trip requests must be made no less than 1 day and no more than 7 days in advance. Be prepared to tell the Scheduler:
- Your name
- Your pickup address and destination address
- Your pickup time
- Any special needs or accommodations (e.g., walker, wheelchair, etc.).
No Shows
Over 20% of people scheduling trips with Ozark Regional Transit (ORT) Paratransit service fail to take the trip or cancel the trip without enough notice. The result of this causes us to not be able to re-schedule other people who need these trips. The schedule for each bus/route is set the afternoon prior to the next business day. A no-show or late cancellation thereby creates "open-time". With little notice from those passengers, we do not have the opportunity to reschedule other passengers calling for trips that day. Failure to notify us when canceling a trip may cause a vehicle to be unnecessarily dispatched, wasting time and fuel. Eliminating no-show passengers and late cancellations will enable us to provide more rides for all of our customers at the same cost.
