If you’re someone who visits the Walmart AMP in Rogers, AR frequently, you probably know that there’s not a lot of convenient parking available on the premises. Since they’re located in one of the growth hubs of Northwest Arkansas, this can be an issue if you drive to the venue — you may not be able to find parking or will either have too park far away and walk from the nearest spot that your car can fit into. Transportation options: You could either drive yourself, carpool, pay for a ride share, OR try Ozark Regional Transit Authority’s $0 on-demand service($0 thru 2022). How does on-demand service work?
The ORT on-demand system is a $0, on-demand transit service that connects riders with local businesses and destinations. Riders can request a ride through the ORT On-Demand app or call us during business hours, and drivers will pick them up and drop them off at their requested location. The system is available during select hours:
Bentonville: Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 6:30pm, Friday: 7:00am - 12:00am, Sat: 12:00pm - 12:00am.
Rogers: Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 6:30pm, Friday: 7:00am - 10:00pm, Sat: 4:00pm - 10:00pm.
Fayetteville: Monday - Thursday 6:30am - 7:00pm
To use the free ORT On-Demand app, riders must first create an account. After completing registration, they can enter their desired pickup and destination addresses (as well as any special instructions) into the app and tap Request Ride. They'll then receive a notification when their driver has arrived. It's important to note that ORT has some locations that are unavailable for on-demand service. When you input your pick-up or drop-off location you will be notified if your are out of the service area. The city of Springdale does not currently subscribe to the ORT on-demand service.
