ORT is currently in the process of implementing a new mobile management platform in all of our vehicles. During this time several vehicles will not be trackable on RouteShout and the Web Portal and we will provide a listing of them below. We are excited about the improvements to our passenger communications and we thank you for your patience during this transition.
Ozark Regional Transit, Inc. is dedicated to providing safe, reliable and affordable public transportation to both the rural and urban residents of the four county area within our jurisdiction.
Ozark Regional Transit has been in discussion with two large employers in the Rogers area, and with the Rogers Technical High School (RTHS), in recent weeks. Addressing employee turnover rates and the need to get students transported expeditiously to NWACC classes respectively, were at the forefront of these discussions.
It is time once again for our annual Kids Ride Free program. From May 26th - September 4th, 2015, kids 17 and under may ride any ORT Fixed Route without paying a fare. In 2014, we saw a 28% increase in Kids Free Ridership as 6,438 kids boarded our buses to go to places like Malls, Parks, and Libraries. Access to these amenities, in addition to the recently opened Razorback Greenway, are expected to cause a ridership increase over last years numbers. Children under the age of 12 are required to have an older guardian accompanying them. As a reminder, all of our fixed route vehicles are equipped with bicycle racks and many are equipped with free WiFi access.
